The Cadets are excited to introduce the drum majors for the 2019 season! Loren Gregory will be returning for her second season as a drum major with The Cadets, and she is joined this year by Daniel Regalado and Chris Martinez. The drum major selection process renewed with vigor back in November with 15 total auditions for the drum major positions. Each drum major was selected for their shown leadership skills and conducting ability.

"We had some really tough choices to make when it came to selecting a drum major," said Scott Litzenberg, Director of The Cadets. "We are thrilled that Loren is returning to the podium this season, and Daniel and Chris really round out the team into something special. Their group dynamic and leadership qualities will really lead the corps through the 2019 season."

"We were thrilled with how the event ran," said Jon Swengler, Director of USBands. "Championships are always such a fun event because the students are all able to really showcase what they've been working on all season. Fair Lawn High School has been a partner of USBands for a long time and we're thankful that they were able to help us put on such a successful event." Participating groups included:

The Cadets celebrated their final brass camp ahead of the 2019 season this past weekend in Salem, New Jersey. Once again our host Salem High School made our stay productive and memorable, as they have for the entire fall of 2018 and winter of 2019. We would like to thank the many staff and faculty members of Salem High School who helped provide for our members at these camps. A very special thanks goes out to the many volunteers, who not only cooked and drove shuttles for the weekend, but also completed work on the food trailer, equipment trailer, pickup truck, and box truck. Your help goes a long way to getting us ready for the summer season!

While many of our guard members and percussionists were competing in WGI, the brass section has been working together since January to prepare and piece together the summer production, learning the entirety of the show music. The preparation of the brass performers in between camps has been nothing short of outstanding.

With USBands’ new Band First pricing levels, the control is fully in the hands of the music educator to select the level of engagement and service needed for their individual program.

Three levels of Membership are now available and provide cost-effective and affordable educational opportunities for school music programs of all sizes and budgets.

USBands Value is for the up and coming band that participates in a few local events while building their program. This affordable alternative allows bands to select from the full array of 80 local competitions in the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions.

USBands Basic has been created to serve the marching band that competes annually in several local contests and caps off their season with a State or National Championship performance with added incentives making your membership more valuable to your program and your students.
